The Security and Transportation programs at GMATS are designed to meet the needs of personnel in every level of the transportation industry, from management trainees to the seasoned professional. Our courses cover programs from complex maritime and intermodal transportation logistics systems to the latest requirements in transportation security.
GMATS has offered security training since 1994 and continuously improves its security training to keep up to date with the latest United States and International requirements. The information obtained through these security and transportation programs is invaluable to the workers in today’s maritime industry. Courses taught by our subject matter experts and faculty deal only with the most relevant and essential aspects of the industry.
Offerings include United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved courses and courses that are designed to meet the regulatory requirements of all nations in line with the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Management level courses are recognized by the American Military University. Additionally, there are courses that are recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE). Customized training programs and seminars can be developed concerning a wide variety of subject matters upon request.
Facilities
Our courses include hands-on training at every level, with a focus on incorporating theories learned in the class with practical experience gained through site visits to ports and terminals, simulators, and the usage of training vessels at our Waterfront Facility.
